The theory of stewardship was first introduced in the 1990s and in the 2000s good stewards were those whose motives were aligned to those of their organization. In the 2010s the theory had further developed into ethical stewardship where good steward act in the best interests of both shareholders and stakeholder.

The Founder member of the Capricorn group view stewardship as a leadership process and management mindset that is brought to bear in every strategic and operational decision across the entire organization. Based on the positive, prosocial, and intrinsically motivated model of human beings, stewardship refers to the leadership approaches taken to proactively make decisions after taking into consideration the interests of all stakeholders, including employees and shareholders.

Capricorn Shipping & Logistics Pte Ltd has started its operation in the year 2019 and as the company is slowly growing from small numbers and trade volume in different locations and geographical boundaries it is of utmost importance that the company and the leadership adopt and follow the best practices that will help to develop the culture, values further strengthening foundation pillars of the Capricorn group in line with company’s long term vision to become one of the leading one-stop solution providers.
